About

Meet the founder

I'm Tiana, founder of Run Bun. I was tired of gels I couldn't open with sweaty hands, boring flavors, and juggling salt tabs mid-race.

So I made something better — an all-in-one gel that's easy to open, packed with sodium, and actually tastes good. The perfect gel for sweaty runners like me!

It checks every box for me. I hope it does for you too.

Frequently asked questions

How much water should I drink with each pouch?

We recommend 8–12oz of water with each pouch to support absorption and optimal electrolyte performance. Since our gels are already electrolyte-rich, you don't need to pair them with a separate sports drink — water is all you need.

How many pouches should I take during a run?

It depends on the length and intensity of your effort, but most runners take one pouch every 30–45 minutes during long runs or races.

What makes Run Bun different from other energy gels?

Run Bun is built for heavy sweaters. Each pouch has 590mg of sodium — significantly more than most gels on the market — so you can skip separate salt tabs or electrolyte add-ons.

We also use a honey base and 100% natural ingredients, so it's easy on your stomach during long efforts. The twist top pouch makes it easy to open, even with sweaty hands, so nothing gets in the way of your fueling.

Do I need to refrigerate Run Bun gels?

No. Our gels are shelf-stable and don't require refrigeration. Just store them somewhere cool and dry.

How long do the pouches last?

Run Bun gels have a 12-month best-by date. The date will be noted on each order by the manufacturer.

Can I reuse the pouches?

Yes! Wash and refill your pouches using our 16oz refillable bottle for a more sustainable, cost-effective way to fuel your training.

Is Run Bun safe for people with dietary restrictions?

Run Bun gels are made with natural, whole-food ingredients. If you have specific allergies or dietary concerns, please check the nutrition label or reach out to us directly.

Should I talk to a doctor before using Run Bun?

If you have any underlying health conditions — especially related to sodium intake, kidney function, or heart health — we recommend consulting your physician before adding Run Bun to your routine.

Where are Run Bun gels made?

Run Bun gels are made in small batches in the USA, with quality and safety as top priorities from formulation through fulfillment.
